You should start seeing some performance increase related to the forum. We recently switched from a VPS to Dedicated.
This forum now should be able to handle a-lot of members online and posting threads.
We switched cache method from memcache to redis, that should also help with the random peak load or DDoS that may happen from time to time.
I tested the page load time, previously it takes around 0.089 to render a single page, now it takes under 0.06 or less. This is according to xenforo debug.
